Microsoft Office Outlook Connector beta

The Outlook Connector is finally returning as a free-for all tool. Outlook Connector was once a free-for-all tool many years back, allowing users to synchronize hotmail with Outlook 97, 2000 and 2002. However at around 2003, it was changed and made available only to Hotmail Plus users. Hotmail users who registered before 2003 were still able to use the connector due to their Hotmail account configuration, but new users who registered afte 2003 weren’t that luckly.

Facing a stiff competition with Google Mail and Yahoo! Mail, it is no surprise that Microsoft decided to make this tool free again. While it might be a bit too late considering Google Mail had long ago allowed POP3 access to their webmail, the introduction of Outlook Connector is definitely not going to be futile.
